ALS snps - freaking out

Maybe I should be worried? Really freaking out here. Oh, and I am a veteran, serving 1987-1991 overseas during the Gulf War.

What you have to remember is just because you have the gene doesn’t necessarily mean it get expressed or turned on. I have the one for breast cancer. Both my grandmothers had breast cancer and died at 59 and 60 respectively. I’m 71. I don’t have breast cancer although I have all the genes for it. Doesn’t mean you get ALS. Bring it up to your doctor and see if they are concerned or can run tests for you.
