Rs16969968 A homozygous higher risk of nicotine dependence

I have certainly struggled with nicotine addiction and am one of those people for whom a cigarette brings strong pleasurable responses. Interesting.

I used to smoke quite a bit, but gave me chronic bronchitis. I decided that I like breathing more than smoking cigarettes,, so I convinced myself to quit. So, yes and no, I was addicted, but also not addicted…if that makes sense. Ironically, I lost weight and had more energy after I quit.

I’ve smoked since I was 16 and am 40 now. Taking Wellbutrin now in hopes to quit. Seems to help alot but havent set date. It is soon though
